ABOUT US
Our mission is to share the love of God and meet the pressing needs of our community by coordinating donations-based sales and sharing all proceeds with organizations in need.
OUR STORY
In 2019 a friend of the Beard family was collecting items for a yard sale to raise money for the international adoption of their little boy. During that time, another friend mentioned that she had a pile of toys and clothes to take to Goodwill. A lightbulb lit over Chenoa, and she asked if she could relay those items for the adoption yard sale. The donor happily agreed.

Through these ordinary circumstances, God planted a seed in Chenoa's heart to serve as a coordinator for donations that could benefit individuals, ministries, and the community. She shared the idea with her husband, Dustin, and after several weeks of prayer and ideation, Blessings for the Bluegrass was born. The vision for this ministry and motto, "Doing Good and Sharing with Others" was inspired by Hebrews 13:16.

"And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased."
Hebrews 13:16

In the beginning, Chenoa acted as a liaison between donors and those in need to coordinate the hand-off of various items. When the volume of donations grew, Blessings for the Bluegrass grew in response.

Today, Chenoa leads the organization of large semi-annual sales hosted at Center Point Church in Lexington, Kentucky. Sales are held over the weekend with participation from many volunteers and local businesses. All proceeds from the sales are donated to ministries and organizations that give back to the community. Chenoa and Dustin appreciate your support for Blessings for the Bluegrass — whether through donating items for sale, funds, time, or prayer.
